bare bright copper wire recycling
This Grade of Copper Wire is "Bare Bright."
Bare Bright Copper Wire is a Certain Color & Width.

Wilson Metal Recycling buys all types of copper including:

·         Bare Bright Copper
·         #1 Copper
·         #2 Copper
·         Insulated Copper
·         #2 Insulated Copper
·         House wire
·         Romex
·         #1 Insulated
·         #2 Insulated
·         Copper pipe
·         Copper roofing
  • Copper with other materials

Sometimes it is easy to tell the difference between two grades of Copper. Copper #1 is Copper that has begun to tarnish and can be black in color; however, if there is any green on the piece of metal, we must buy the Copper as Copper #2. Sometimes the grade of Copper is less obvious. “Bare Bright” is the grade of Copper that you will get the most money for. Bare Bright Copper is completely untarnished (the pure, shiny Copper) however, there are also rules about the size of the wire that we can buy and sell as bare bright. If the wire is the color of bare bright but is too thin, we must buy the Copper as #2 Copper. If the wire is the color of bare bright but is too thick, we will buy the wire as #1 Copper.

The prices we will pay for Copper Wire Coated in plastic will depend on the amount of wire inside the plastic.

At Wilson Metal Recycling you get MORE CASH for your COPPER SCRAP METAL!

Scrap Metal Prices
Wilson Metal Recycling
404 Maury Street S
Wilson, NC, 27893
Tel 252-243-3586

Scrap Metal Prices have been falling for more than a year.  Copper is at multi year lows and steel is close to multi years lows.  Metals are part of the global economy and the bad news is China and Europe are not using growing like they were.  This means that scrap metal from Europe, instead of being used there, is coming to the U.S. and is going to China.  Also, China is shipping finished Steel to the U.S., so it is hurting the U.S. steel industry and they are buying less scrap metal.   See the article below.

Bottom line is, we see copper staying at this low level for a while and importantly in about 10 days or so we see that we will be dropping scrap metal steel prices over $1.00 and could be as much as $2.00.

We will continue to try and do our best to be Fair, Fast and Friendly to bring the most value to you, our customers.

China Steel Exports Rise to Record While Iron Ore Imports Slide
By Bloomberg News Dec 8, 2014 3:16 AM ET

China’s steel-product exports rose to a record as the economy cools while iron ore imports slid with prices.
Shipments in November increased 14 percent from the previous month to 9.72 million metric tons, according to data from the country’s customs administration today. Total exports in the first 11 months of 2014 are 47 percent higher than the same period last year at 83.6 million tons. Imports of iron ore, the main material for steel making, fell 15 percent last month to the lowest since February.
China’s steel exports have set records for three straight months as a slowing expansion and cooling construction sector damp demand. The country’s economy is forecast to grow at the slowest pace since 1990. China’s ruling Politburo last week said it will maintain a prudent monetary stance and keep growth within a reasonable range next year.
“Many trading houses doing business with end-users told us the market is terrible,” said Zeng Jiesheng, a Shanghai-based analyst with Mysteel.com, a researcher. “Steel millswere inclined to produce partly due to the low iron ore prices while demand in foreign markets picked up.”
The price of iron ore, a feedstock for blast furnaces, slumped 47 percent this year in China, falling below $70 for the first time since June 2009 on Nov. 25. Imports in November declined for the second month to 67.4 million tons, customs data showed today.
The country’s crude steel output rose 5 percent in the first 10 months of the year to 685 million tons, according to the latest figures from National Bureau of Statistics.
Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., China’s biggest publicly-traded steelmaker, cautioned in October that this quarter would be difficult for the company, reflecting the challenges facing an industry beset by overcapacity, a slowing domestic market and simmering trade tensions.
The price of steel reinforcement-bar, or rebar, used mostly in construction, declined 29 percent this year to 2,542 yuan a ton on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

Old refrigerator not working? Is a handyman quoting you at several hundred dollars to simply replace a bad compressor?

Bring it to us for Cash!  Refrigerators, Washers and Dryers

Protect the wallet and don't waste your money on something that might well break again, especially if we're talkin' about a fridge from the '90s! Instead, haul your load to 404 Maury Street S, Wilson, NC, 27893 and get some money for that dilapidated appliance, whether it be an old refrigerator, microwave, freezer, dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, ice chest, or some other metal appliance, even if there's some plastic or glass on it. A great place to dispose of appliances.  You can get rid of appliances six days a week at Wilson Recycling!  We are great at Appliance Recycling.  We'll have you in and out, and our process is designed to make getting paid for doing some scrap metal recycling in the great state of North Carolina more efficient, exhilarating, rewarding, than ever before!  Remember, you can come from Cary, NC, Durham, Clayton and Wilson Forest to drop off your old refrigerator, too! We're not too far away from either of those places!

To get around expensive repair costs, when it comes right down to it, buying a new or slightly used appliance is oftentimes the best choice a consumer can make. Getting an extra $20 or $30 for scrapping that old refrigerator makes a lot of sense in such a case.

All you have to do is haul that old fridge down to 404 Maury Street S, Wilson, NC, 27893 and VOILA! Go around the left corner of the building.

You'll see the truck scales right in front of you. Go onto the scale that's closest to the building, and drive up to the second scale booth that will be on your left. One of our scale masters will inform you of all you need to keep in mind upon driving into the yard to do some good 'ole fashioned scrap recycling!  Wilson Scrap Metal Recycling.  We have great scrap metal prices!  We are not just a Junk Yard or Salvage Yard, we are Wilson Metal Recycling at its Best!

AN OLD REFRIGERATOR ISN'T THE ONLY THING YOU CAN BRING US!
And also, perhaps you'd like to bring in some steel, too, since that old refrigerator might be lonesome in the back of the pickup. Pieces of steel make for great items to bring through our truck scales, too. We buy loads of prepared steel, i.e., steel that's less than 3 feet by 2 feet that have no non-metals attached to them, for $0.25 more per hundred pounds than the bigger steel pieces (unprepared steel (3'x2' or greater in size)).
So, though we're certainly an appliance recycler, we help the environment and our customers by processing many other metal objects as well. Examples are aluminum cans and rims, motors, brass doorknobs, sheet copper, even junk cars!
We welcome any questions you might have about our operation; therefore, by all means, put 252-243-3586 into your phone so we can talk recycling sometime!
